These days it seems like each time we take a trip to the grocery store or fill up at the gas pump, it costs more than it did the last time.

That’s inflation at work.

But using these tips, we can fight back against inflation and keep saving money – even when prices are rising.

1. Compare Costs for Recurring Monthly Expenses. Your current providers may not be offering you the best deal for your phone, internet, cable, or other monthly services. Try shopping around for other, cheaper plans – and keep an eye out for special   promotions.

2. Reevaluate Your Streaming Subscriptions. With all the streaming services that are available today, it’s easy to lose track of what you’re paying for – and what you’re not using. Evaluate your subscriptions with a critical eye and decide which services you really need, and which you can scrap.

3. Join a gas station rewards program. Rising fuel costs can make saving hard for families on the go. But taking a few minutes to join a gas station reward program can help shave off a few dollars every time you fill – and that adds up!

4. Try using a discount grocery store. Buying from a discount grocery store can help save a few bucks on that weekly grocery trip, without compromising quality of product.

5. Look for free activities to enjoy while on vacation. We all need a break every once in a while. But if you’re not careful, that annual summer vacation can easily break the bank. Try saving costs by visiting a local park, taking a hike on a nearby trail, or checking out a free museum while you’re on the go.

There’s more we can do to save on a daily basis – but these simple steps are a great place to start showing inflation who’s boss!
