Start Early. Most retailers have already released their big Friday deals. Do some research before the circulars come in the paper and determine who really does have the best deals.
Prep…Prep…Prep! After doing your research, prepare your plan of attack. Pick the purchases you are most interested in and pay close attention to whether they are only available during a certain time period. Map out your trip along with times and products.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! When certain specials are only available during a certain time period, it’s hard to be at 5 stores at once. Split up your lists with friends and family and do each other’s shopping!
Be Social. Do you follow your favorite retailers on social media? If not, you should. A lot of times coupons and special offers are shared and you may be missing out.
Price Check. Use the Amazon shopping app to price check everything you’re buying to make sure it really is the best deal. Be warned that a lot of major retailers WILL NOT price match on Black Friday or other specific dates.
Stay home and shop online. Most Black Friday sale items are available online with the exception of some ‘doorbuster’ sales.
Abandon your cart online. Fill up your online shopping cart and logout. Most retailers usually send a cart reminder offering a discount, anywhere from 10-20% as motivation for you to complete the transaction.
Get notified. Most of us have this turned off on our Apps, but, consider turning your push notifications ‘on’ for your favorite shopping apps so you don’t miss out on special offers.
